Kagan, Brown tip 'Tuck' for Boston

Broadway veterinarians Howard Kagan ("The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess") and Craig Brown ("La Cage aux Folles") are joining track of mega-production house Broadway Across America ("How to achieve Business Without Really Trying," "Memphis") on new musical "Tuck Everlasting." The producers introduced a pre-Broadway go to commence at Boston's Colonial Theater in June of the coming year. Show depends around the 1975 children's novel of the identical title, that also offered because the foundation for the eponymous 1981 and 2002 films. The storyline of Winnie, a woman who stumbles upon a household of immortals within the backwoods round her home, the initial Natalie Babbit book has offered a lot more than two million copies since its publication. Pedigree for that show includes Rialto veterinarians Claudia Shear ('Dirty Blonde') on book, and Casey Nicholaw ('The Book of Mormon') helming, while music and lyrics can come from Lucille Lortel Award nominees Chris Burns and Nathan Tysen.
