What are those weird little piano things from the victorian era called?

I know, the question's kinda vague but I don't know how else to ask
it. Somebody out there's gotta know what I'm talking about. They're
these little pianos that seemed to be popular during the victorian
era. They have a strange sound all their own, nothing like a piano.
It's freakin' driving me crazy and I can't figure it out on my own.
